And the countdown to Big Exo Day begins! In less than thirty days, we’ll all be gathering for a day of music, extreme sports, rides, and the ultimate hangout. We can barely contain our excitement for our best Exo Day to date.
This year, we are featuring a completely new stage: Indie Unplugged. This is the place where local bands will come with the folky, acoustic instrumentation that we’re all going to be tapping our toes to.
To kick it off, we’ll be joined by local Sydney band, This Sanctuary. Brought together by friendship and a love for music. Combining the pop and rock genres, This Sanctuary has quickly gained international notice, touring in Malaysia in early 2011. They recently performing alongside American hardcore sensations "The Chariot", and were featured at Singapore’s Music Matters Conference in May with Kate Miller-Heidke.
For the Big Exo Day, we’ll be experiencing a new side of the band, with an unplugged set, bound to bring forth a raw and honest performance. We are pumped to have them for the second year in a row, along with Exo-Favourites Lukas, newcomers Matt Sztyk, Brett Lynch, Amber Nichols and possibly some guest performances from one or two of the Voice Au finalists- we'll keep you guessing with that one (although, it's a pretty safe bet it'll be someone from team Keith). They are many bands that are going to make the Big Exo Day an unforgettable experience, make sure you check out our guests page for more info.
As we draw near to the event of the year, we encourage you to get yourself and your mates registered as soon as possible, that's if you haven't already. Whether you’re into discovering incredible bands, throwing down your latest dance moves, finding great clothes from op shops, having your mind blown by the experts in action sports and skateboarding, or discovering new sides to your creativity, there’s a place for you at the Big Exo Day.
Come join us for the ultimate celebration of being young, free, and living a life (EXO)llently!
